IRS Tax Forms

When you mention the word taxes, IRS tax forms immediately come to mind. Confusing as all get out, IRS forms are legendary.

IRS Tax Forms

If you are looking for IRS tax forms, the blue links on this page can supply them. The IRS will give you the tax forms for free, but with one major caveat. If you need tax forms during the tax season like everyone else, forget it. The IRS takes forever to send them out because it is slightly business processing 1099 filings in February, corporate tax returns in March and personal tax returns in April. You can try to order them from the IRS, but don’t hold your breath.

IRS tax forms are legendary for being incredibly difficult to understand. They simply make no sense to the laymen. Frankly, they don’t make much sense to tax professional either. If you cornered an IRS agent, I bet they would express the same confusion as everyone else.

Simply put, the tax forms are a mess. One of the more humorous areas of the 1040 tax forms involves blind people. The IRS asks them to check a box if they are blind. On a non-Braille tax form! Obviously, the question is intended for a tax professional, but it still makes you grimace.

In truth, IRS forms have undergone a major revolution. The tax forms have been adjusted to at least make some sense. The best way to hit them is to have two sets. On one, you can try to go through the form and scratch out all your mistakes. Once you have it down, you can hit the second tax form with the correct information.

The IRS has also tried to simplify by creating the “EZ” forms. These IRS forms are basically designed to make it is as simple as possible for you to report information. Unless you have little in the way of income, you should not use these tax forms. While they are simple to fill out, they also fail to include a lot of deductions and topics that can save you money. A lot of money. In laymen’s terms, “EZ” almost always means you will pay more than you should.

IRS tax forms are a pain in the rear. Take the easy way out, however, and you’ll end paying more than you should.
